Barry Chenault is a veteran in the music world. From George Clinton & P-Funk All Stars, Gap Band and Boo Yaa Tribe to playing percussion for Donna Summer, Barry has toured the world as one of the premiere go-to drummers wowing audiences with his power, dynamics, versatility and finesse. He recently reconnected with his artist side and is now a member and creative force in California rock trio, Olio. He can also be seen sitting in with Rose Royce on Cruises, Festivals and Concerts around the world.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Barry marched in the Carter Cadet Drum and Bugle Core. Moved to Southern California where he went on to march with the Anaheim Kingsmen. He began playing kit in High School. His influences are Billy Cobham, Lenny White, Dennis Chambers, Omar Hakim, Jerome (Big Foot) B, Larry Blackmon of Cameo.

Barry's first pro gig was playing in one of the very first rap groups to use a band - the Boo Yaa Tribe. He then landed the Mothership gig with George Clinton and the P-FUNK Allstars from 1992 to 1993 and GAP Band 1996 to 1998. Barry went on to play percussion for Donna Summer, as well as drums for the late Mallia Franklin & the Parliament and Dawn Silva & The Brides of Funkenstein.
